In partnership with TO Live, Alzheimer Society of Toronto, and Baycrest@Home, Xenia Concerts is proud to present the women-led, Afro-Cuban roots and jazz ensemble, OKAN! Taking their name from the word for heart or soul in the Afro-Cuban religion of Santeria, JUNO-Award winning OKAN fuses Afro-Cuban roots with jazz, folk and global rhythms in songs about immigration, courage and love. We promise that they will have you dancing in your chairs or your own home-made dance floor, so get ready to move to the music!
This dementia-friendly online concert will be broadcast live from Meridian Hall over Zoom, so you can listen however you’re most comfortable, interact with one another, and ask questions in the chat.
