December 7, 2022, @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST

RSVP

Concert Description

Join Xenia Concerts and Sunshine Centres for a very special concert featuring members of the Queer Songbook Orchestra! An afternoon of wintry classics and reflections on LGBTQ+ experience over the holiday season. A joyful, tender gathering aiming to bring folks together in the warm embrace of community, surrounded by the sounds of a queered collection of holiday favourites.

The Queer Songbook Orchestra (QSO) is a Toronto based ensemble of anywhere from 4 to 50 members. On a mission of using story and song to express, honour and elevate LGBTQ+ experience through the lens of pop music of the last century, the QSO has been working to bring honesty, intimacy and vulnerability to the stage since the group formed in 2014. Assembled for this special occasion with our friends at Xenia Concerts and the Sunshine Centres are four members of the QSO:

James Baley – Voice

Thom Gill – Guitar/Voice

Shaun Brodie – Trumpet

Johnny Spence – Piano
