Vanessa Ng (she/her) is a music educator, activist, and graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. She is currently attending the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto for her Masters of Teaching.

In the greater community, Vanessa has served on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility committees for many groups. She has contributed to panels such as Winds of Change: Applying an EDI Lens to Repertoire Found on the MusicFest Concert Band Syllabus as part of Dialogues: International Music Research Conference and The Purpose(s) and Potential of Public Education, during SoundLife Scarborough’s inaugural symposium, Mapping Music Pathways.

Vanessa has worked with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra as their Education Assistant, writing School Concert program notes and Relaxed Performance fact sheets. Right now, she is also a Piano Teacher at Annette Street Music as well as a Teaching Assistant for the University of Toronto Scarborough Concert Band.
