THE ORIGIN STORY

Triology’s inception can be traced back to a heartfelt tribute concert dedicated to the legendary jazz pianist Oscar Peterson shortly after his passing. This poignant event brought together Jodi Proznick, Miles Black, and Bill Coon, all united by their deep admiration for Peterson’s music and their shared passion for performing together. Little did they know that this initial tribute concert would mark the beginning of a remarkable 15-year musical journey.

From that auspicious start, their musical connection blossomed into an enduring partnership, one that continues to captivate audiences with its blend of passion, chemistry, and a shared dedication to the timeless art of jazz improvisation.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Triology is currently working on a new recording that reflects their 15 years of musical collaboration and promises to capture the essence of their live performances. Alongside this project, they are preparing for a Spring 2024 tour to bring their captivating jazz performances to audiences at various venues. Additionally, Triology is committed to nurturing the next generation of musical talent by taking on faculty roles at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music and the VSO SoM Summer Jazz Workshop. In these roles, they will inspire and mentor aspiring musicians, ensuring that the tradition of jazz endures for years to come.
