Join us on Saturday, March 8th for a family-friendly Adaptive Concert with Pantayo! This concert is designed to support the needs of neurodivergent and disabled attendees. Meridian Arts Centre is also accessible for wheelchair users. For these concerts, we have partnered with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind to offer additional accommodations for attendees who are Blind and partially sighted. A tactile tour is open to all attendees 30 minutes before the performance.
Pantayo are queer Filipinx kulintang gong punks based in Tkaronto, Canada. The ensemble combines traditional Kulintang music from the Philippines with contemporary influences and experimental sounds. In addition to the kulintang, the band also incorporates vocals, drums, synths, and other instruments into their music and performances. Their unique sound blends traditional elements with modern styles like R&B, pop, punk, and electronic music. Pantayo’s music is not only a reflection of their cultural heritage but also a testament to the creativity and diversity of the Canadian music landscape. You are welcome to bring the entire family! Xenia Concerts welcomes all listeners.
