Join Xenia Concerts at the AGO for a family-friendly performance by Kyla Charter and Gaitrie Killings that embraces neurodiversity and disability. This sensory-friendly performance will include songs by Canadian musical icons, including Leonard Cohen, paired with artwork from the AGO Collection and Musical ASL Interpretation, performed by Gaitrie Killings.
Lending her soulful vocals with elevated harmony, singer-songwriter Kyla Charter has lent her voice, and rhythm guitar playing, to a number of acts from Alessia Cara to Patrick Watson. The young artist is currently focusing on her solo artistry, in support of her critically acclaimed debut album Edible Flowers.
A Tkaronto-based actor, Phoenix The Fire founder, Gaitrie Killings is a theatre maker who develops facial expressions and body languages to bring Deaf/hearing actors to work together on the stage in physical theatre styles. Gaitrie continually seeks to challenge herself through new techniques and learning from her mentors who specialize in ASL musical and theatre styles.
